Product Description
Product name Glufosinate
Description A highly effective non-selective herbicide providing rapid control of a broad spectrum of annual and perennial weeds. The 15% SL soluble concentrate formulation offers excellent handling properties and reliable performance.
Mode of action Inhibits glutamine synthetase, leading to accumulation of ammonia in plant tissues, which disrupts photosynthesis and causes rapid cell membrane destruction and desiccation. Visible effects within 24-48 hours under favorable conditions.
Uses Controls annual and perennial grasses, broadleaf weeds, and sedges in orchards, vineyards, plantations, non-crop areas, and before crop emergence. Effective against glyphosate-resistant weeds including Conyza canadensis, Lolium rigidum, and Amaranthus species. Used in glufosinate-tolerant cropping systems (corn, soybeans, canola). The 15% SL formulation provides easy handling, rapid uptake, and excellent environmental compatibility with rapid degradation in soil.

Application: Biochemistry Microtubule assembly inhibition. Mode of action Selective soil-herbicide, which acts by entering the seedling in the hypocotyl region. Also inhibits root development. Uses Pre-emergence control of many annual grasses and broad-leaved weeds in brassicas, beans, peas, carrots, parsnips, lettuce, capsicums, tomatoes, artichokes, onions, garlic, vines, strawberries, raspberries, citrus fruit, oilseed rape, peanuts, soya beans, sunflowers, safflowers, ornamentals, cotton, sugar beet, sugar cane, and in forestry.
